The chicken was dry and too thin while the Thai sauce was sub par. The vegetables and potatoes were decent. The waitress was standard (not overly friendly nor rude).

A really nice restaurant, great atmosphere, good food. A much classier place and yet still not a "fancy" restaurant.
Only having a table for two means that you aren't going to get the greatest service at Delaineys. Getting a glass of water took longer then it took the entire meal to arrive. The portion size of the meal was good. But the best feature is their cake, definitely something to take home and eat!
This place is good restaurant that is nicer than your typical restaurant, but not quite fine dinning. Great for a nice meal you want to spend time enjoying. Good atmosphere and hearty portion sizes for the main course. I have had better spanakopita, but the Chicken Souvlaki is a great bet.
Overall, the ambiance and service were first rate. We had the mussels appetizer and it was superb. The butter sauce was the best I've ever tasted including those prepared by my professional chef ex-brother-in-law. The drinks were generous and the wine was excellent. The reason I'm writing this, HOWEVER, is that I made the mistake of ordering the stuffed filet of sole. I don't know whether the kitchen ran out of fresh shrimp and scallops or the sauce got spilled or if the sole was refrozen. In any event, AVOID it at all costs. It was a hunk of dried out sole covering a small dollop of "stuffing" and topped by something liquid that might have tasted OK if there had been more than a teaspoon of it. Finally, it was "augmented" by a large scoop of plain white rice (?) to make it look like a full portion. This made an incongruous combination with the miniscule baked potato that accompanied it. In summary: If I return, I will know to order a steak.
